Bookings are now open for our fun Summer Concert on 11th July, a less formal event for a summer's evening in Umberleigh Village Hall.
The programme features a rare performance of the original 1995 version of Paul Patterson's Little Red Riding Hood Song Book, inspired by Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes. Includes the star appearance of a very hungry wolf, Grandma's Drinking Song, a very sad Requiem for Granny and the ultimate conclusion…
Captain Noah and His Floating Zoo is a favourite "pop cantata" dating from 1970. Although originally intended for performance by children, it was quickly taken up by The Kings Singers who recorded it, with the composer at the piano, in 1972. It is now a regular piece in the repertoire of small adult choirs and great fun for audience and singers alike.
These two works will be linked by a selection of songs dating from Tudor times to modern, reflecting the two main pieces.
