A Flourishing Local Food Economy in Exeter: What are the next steps?

A workshop/forum focussing on solutions for designing a local food system which minimises waste, packaging, transport and refrigeration, and encourages regenerative farming practices.

5 speakers will be covering projects that are ongoing. These include:

  • Highlighting the barriers that are preventing a flourishing local food economy.
  • Training for Regenerative Food and Farming;
  • Connecting local producers to retailers with an online ordering system and logistics optimisation; A Physical local Food aggregation and distribution hub;
  • A discussion of 'what is missing' will follow.

This event is part of The Big Exeter Feast conference and event programme organised by Exeter Connect, the City’s VCSE capacity building and connecting service
