Lisa Chanter is a local and family historian who has lived in North Devon all her life and has always had an interest in the area, it's history and people.

Over several years she has researched many local family histories including her own, along with the history of some local businesses, properties, the lives of some interesting individuals and some of those who served in the two World Wars.

She now gives talks such as this one to share her research with others.

Join Lisa for a look at the origins of the Devonshire Dialect, how it is spoken and some Devonshire people who have written works in this dialect.

Refreshments included & chance to ask questions.
