Help local people with housing needs

We aim to help fund local people who are trying to rent local accommodation. We may be able to offer an interest free loan or grant for the deposit or first month's rent. Repayments are very flexible and may be nothing for the first 6 months, £5 per month or more, depending on circumstances. We may be able to help if someone loses their job or is ill and cannot pay the rent. Clients are often referred by a housing association, but we can consider private applications too.

We may be able to act as guarantor for the first 6 months, help with household maintenance or carpeting.

We want to help local people to make a home in which they feel safe and secure and we finance this through the Cornelius charity shop in Mill Street, Kingsbridge and private donations. We are always looking for volunteers to help in the shop and behind the scenes.
