St John Ambulance is the nation’s leading first aid charity. Each year we train over 400,000 adults and young people in first aid, giving them the competence and confidence to step in, give support and save lives.
St John volunteers provide first aid within their communities, keeping people safe at events, and working alongside the NHS.
We are always campaigning to raise awareness of first aid and directly educate the public.
St John Ambulance is often seen supporting the public at events as First Aiders or driving ambulances in support of the NHS but we work in many ways to support different communities with Saving Lives at the heart of all that we do.
Across Devon we work with hundreds of volunteers who support communities with training, practical First Aid support and young people as Badgers and Cadets. However, as a charity we cannot do any of these things without the support of local people fundraising on behalf of our charity and helping to raise awareness about our work.
