Skate Molton provide free to access, inclusive skate sessions for all ages, currently in the South Molton area
Skate Molton CIC is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales.
We aim to provide free-to-access, inclusive skating sessions, providing a safe space to learn new skills, exercise and be part of an amazing and friendly community.
Skate Molton CIC is a charity and completely funded by donations and run by the good-will of our volunteers.
Skate Molton currently operates within South Molton Pannier Market on Tuesday evenings with the following timings:
17:00 - 18:00 - Additional needs session, smaller numbers, requires pre-booking
18:00 - 19:30 - Skate session 1, open to all ages and ability levels
19:30 - 21:00 - Skate session 2, open to all ages and ability levels
21:00 - 22:00 - Bonus hour, mostly targeted towards adults and more advanced skaters (not solely ability but also spatial awareness and skate part etiquette etc..)
All Tuesday sessions are marshalled by Skate Molton volunteers at all times, we also provide a seating and games area to hang out in, alongside designated skating areas with various obstacles, such as quarter pipes, grind rails, kickers, a manual pad and a full half pipe mini ramp!
When weather permits within the warmer months, Skate Molton CIC also provide support on Friday evenings (16:30 - 18:30) and Saturday mornings 10:30 - 12:30) at South Molton skatepark. These sessions are more relaxed, but we do endeavour to provide a positive and supportive atmosphere with the presence of our volunteer staff during these times, when the sessions are running.
