I'm Laura, I have been living in Exeter for nearly three years and have found it difficult to connect with new people and create a community around me. I would really like to be able to volunteer and meet others who care about the community around them. I am passionate about women's health, women's safety and equity, so if I am able to help in organisations who work around these causes, that would be amazing. I work in research now but have had a great deal of varied experience, working mostly in charities in comms, admin, event organisation and community engagement, as well as creative fields. I have also fundraised a lot and ran races for charities, something I haven't been doing recently due to an injury but I think 2025 will be the year! I am hard-working, love cooking and being outdoors and am keen to help the community around me and hopefully find one of my own.
