Local Government

The Town Council is involved in providing a wide range of services for local residents and visitors alike, ranging from the maintenance of local gardens, memorials and public footpaths, provision of local bus shelters and allotments and an array of all manner of events.

This calendar of events is organised every year – Band concerts, Easter, food fayres and many wonderful Christmas events and our famous annual Town Criers Competition.
