I work for Ara recovery for all (Gambling Services) as a Community Champion.

Ara Gambling Service are the National Gambling Treatment Service (NGTS) providers for the whole of the South West of England (including Devon) and Wales.  

Ara offer free and confidential advice about gambling, together with free one-to-one counselling for people experiencing problems with their own gambling, or that of a family member. We are expanding our range of support with a new relapse prevention project, better early engagement and intervention to reduce harm and increased opportunities for peer support.

Our 1 hour ‘Bet You Can Help’ training programme, aims to reduce harms by raising awareness of gambling harms. The training will provide information of gambling-harms and its wider impacts, as well as equipping staff with the skills to screen, support and signpost individuals experiencing harm. We also offer an accredited Level 2 option which consists of a full days training.
