About

Providing mental health support for children, young people and families

More children and young adults than ever before are experiencing mental health challenges. Every year we receive more requests for support than we can meet. We know that when children are struggling with their mental health their social, academic and family life suffers, which has a knock-on effect to others around them. The sooner they receive support, the better it is for them, their family and society as a whole. Our ultimate aim is to be able to offer everyone the support they need, when they need it.

We have a team of creative therapists and therapeutic mentors providing a wide range of support.

All our support focuses on:

  • Improving confidence and self-belief

  • Building positive relationships with others

  • Managing strong feelings effectively

We support children and families to develop the skills needed to build resilience and make sustainable change.

Children who are adopted may be able to access funding for support through the Adoption Support Fund; contact your social worker for more details.

Children in the care system or at risk of being placed in the care system may be able to access our services via their social worker who can make an application to the local authority.

We work in partnership with local schools and other community organisations to secure funding in a variety of other ways, including through an EHCP or Pupil Premium funding.

All our community mental health support is provided directly to children, young people and families through our Inhale/Exhale therapy project. This project is funded entirely through grants, donations and fundraising. Because funding is very limited, only families who are not already receiving mental health support from elsewhere are able to access this support, and we only have a limited number of spaces each year.

Please get in touch if you want to know more.
