The GIVE Project delivered by Solutions for Health, Education & Wellbeing CIC (SHEW CIC) is a 6-month programme designed to support young people aged 16-25 to gain real work experience, grow in confidence, and work towards a recognised volunteer award.
As part of the GIVE Project, young people will:
- Attend a volunteer placement tailored to their interests (includes help finding placements & 1:1 mentor support)
- Gain an accredited ’Community Volunteer Award’ by completing units designed to give new skills and confidence
- Receive training, support & guidance throughout the 6 month programme
¨ The volunteer placements are flexible to fit around you
¨ Participants are expected to complete a minimum of 36 hours of volunteer time over the 6 months project
¨ The ‘Community Volunteer Award’ is delivered in 6 units and a workbook is completed alongside to capture progress
¨ Also included in the project is transport for any in person training days
