We are a community transport group providing accessible transport for Totnes and its surrounding villages. We operate scheduled bus routes, serving locations with no other public transport, and regular travel club excursions to local places of interest. We aim to make our services friendly and accessible for as many people as possible, including residents and visitors, and especially passengers of limited mobility, the elderly, and anyone without access to their own vehicle.
Our long-serving coordinator retired this year, and we’re now reconsidering the best way to run our busy charity. We currently have two part-time employees plus around 35 volunteers – these are mostly drivers, but include three admin workers. We operate a small fleet of accessible Mercedes minibuses.
If you have something to offer in the following areas, we’d love to hear from you. There are opportunities for both paid employment and volunteering.
- Team management and coordination
- Route planning and scheduling
- Vehicle maintenance
- Driving on scheduled services, day trips and hires*
- Fund-raising and sponsorship
- PR, website maintenance and social media
