BeWell@StepOne's Men’s Wellbeing Walk takes place weekly on Tuesdays in Paignton and is specifically aimed at men to help support their mental health and wellbeing.
When: Every Tuesday at 10.30am*
Where: Starting and ending from The Community Hut, behind St Paul’s Church (accessible at the end of Locarno Avenue) Preston, Paignton, TQ3 2DH.
Length: Approx. 40 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
This wellbeing walk offers men the opportunity to feel the benefit of getting out in the fresh air, connect with others, and enjoy the positive effect that spending time outside can have on both the body and mind. Increasing our activity levels and connection with others can be a key strategy in lifting mood and reducing anxiety, and joining a walking group is a great way to start, one step at a time!
This session is open to people in Devon over the age of 18.
If you come along for the walk, it will also give you an added opportunity to check out the popular Paignton Wellbeing Craft Group which runs from 10am to 1pm at the same venue each week which typically involves crafting and chatting over a cuppa.
To find out more, email [email protected], or please feel free to just turn up on the day.
Please remember to bring suitable footwear and clothing and if you do have any physical health conditions that may be adversely impacted by a 40-minute walk, then please check with your GP before participating.
We look forward to meeting you!
Some free car parking is available, and you can also get there with the no 12 bus route, a short walk if alighting at Tarraway Road (or St Paul’s church depending which direction you arrive from).
