Our trained volunteers are available every week to listen and support when life is feeling a little challenging.
We offer a safe space where you can check in, be heard and seen in person - one to one - no group chats.
At present our check in service is available at two cafe venues - Paignton on Fridays and Brixham on a Wednesday.
From time to time we may have two volunteers with you, depending on circumstances and also as part of training for new volunteers.
These are informal support sessions, and not to be taken as a counselling session, though our volunteers are very well trained.
You do need to email to make an appointment, or you may message us through our Facebook page. Appointments last for about half and hour, you may be seen weekly or check in now and again. We do review with you after around 4 or 5 sessions, and signpost you if you we feel you need further help.
These are just some of the things we have been able to support with : Anxiety, Depression, Grief and loss, support for parents, health anxieties, isolation and loneliness.
Our aim is to empower you to deal with life's challenges a little more easily, by providing a safe space to check in, information signposting on other community services all in a more informal setting.
