The HOPE Programme –
(Help Overcoming Problems Effectively)
Hope is a programme developed to help the people in our local community, who may be struggling with long-term health conditions, to build confidence and learn how to manage their condition.
Typical courses are focused on either; mental health, anxiety, stress, depression, chronic pain & fatigue, fibromyalgia, stroke, learning disabilty, sensory loss, to name but a few…
The 6 week self-management, self-help, peer support course will focus on the person and not as a long-term health condition, with the aim to help them discover new strength and rediscover old ones, to keep themselves well.
It also aims to boost your self-confidence and resilience, to help you cope better emotionally, psychologically, and practically with your condition.
HOPE peer support groups are therapeutic, but it is important to remember that HOPE is not Therapy.
All HOPE courses and the Facilitator 2-day training are free of charge.
Do you work for a local wellbeing organisation, with people who might benefits from a peer support group and are interested in learning more about HOPE or would like to consider becoming a HOPE Facilitator, please contact: [email protected]
