Devon Disability Voice (DDV) provides people and local disability groups with information in a range of accessible formats about disability-related local events/activities, news, and also updates on our own services and events. We also invite people to take part in a range of consultation opportunities (for example, focus groups and surveys) so they can influence the development and delivery of services.
Raising Awareness and Influencing Change
The DDV is made up of volunteer members from across Devon who meet regularly to raise awareness and influence change on the issues affecting people with disabilities and Deaf people who use British Sign Language (BSL).
DDV members attend events across the county to share their experiences living with a disability and help to share information about our charity, our support services, and other disability-related projects and services.
We support the members of the DDV to people to take part in surveys, meetings and focus groups on health and social care-related topics. Information about these opportunities is published on our website as part of our
Devon Engagement Service.
