Special Constables work on a voluntary basis at the front-line of our communities.
No two shifts are the same.
You might respond to 999 calls and crimes logged through 101. Or join street patrols and investigate local offences. Or patrol busy town centres during late nights and early mornings. Or police community music events and festivals. Never a dull moment.
Our Special Constables are truly special individuals giving back to help their communities be safer. They work in partnership on a day-to-day basis with local communities, stakeholders and colleagues to promote law and order, reduce the fear of crime, provide reassurance and build confidence to improve the quality of life for citizens.
