Activities Co-ordinator, Coppelia House- 28 hours per week, to include alternate weekends.

£12.25 per hour, £12.50 per hour at weekends

Bring Joy. Spark Memories. Make Every Day a Bit More Awesome.

Imagine walking into a room and seeing someone’s face brighten because of something you helped bring to life. Maybe it’s a familiar tune floating through the air, a game that gets everyone laughing, or a craft session that turns a quiet moment into a little masterpiece.

As our Activities Co-ordinator, you’re the magician behind the curtain. You turn ordinary days into memorable ones. Every activity you dream up, every chat you spark, every grin you inspire helps someone feel more alive, more included, more themselves.

You’ll be working with people who have stories bigger than a bestseller, and your mission? Help them keep writing new chapters - with a little fun, a little creativity, and a lot of heart.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and leading a wonderful mix of activities and special events - music, art, games, gentle exercise, themed days, celebrations and more.
  • Spending time listening to residents’ histories, interests and passions, then shaping activities that feel meaningful to them.
  • Encouraging everyone to take part, including those who are quieter, hesitant or living with dementia.
  • Creating daily opportunities for connection, creativity, laughter and companionship.
  • Coordinating visitors, entertainers, community links, and any excuse for a party.
  • Helping residents get to healthcare appointments without drama.
  • Rolling out the red carpet for new residents, families, and visitors - with your signature warmth.

Who you are:

  • Warm-hearted, creative, and enthusiastic about making life brighter for older people.
  • Organised, energetic, and confident in bringing groups together.
  • A natural communicator who knows how to include everyone with tact, charm, or maybe just bribery with biscuits.
  • Someone who knows that the smallest moments - a shared laugh, a favourite song, a knowing glance - can make the biggest difference.
  • Experience in care or activity planning is a bonus, but your empathy, imagination, and people skills are the real superpowers here.

What we offer:

  • A role where you’ll see the difference you make every single day.
  • Fully paid training plus excellent opportunities to grow and progress.
  • A caring induction with your own mentor to help you settle in confidently.
  • Free DBS check and auto-enrolment into our pension scheme.
  • Flex Earn—see and access your earned wages before payday.
  • Eligibility for the Blue Light Card, giving you discounts across shops, restaurants and more.
  • Free meals when you’re working long shifts.
  • Access to a Peninsula Care Homes Mental Health First Aider, an external confidential helpline for you and your family, the ‘Whycare?’ app, and a Refer a Friend scheme (earning you money for bringing your friends on board)
  • The freedom to bring your personality, kindness and creativity into everything you do.

This role is all about sprinkling joy, creating connection, and making people feel genuinely seen.

If you believe everyone should feel included, celebrated, and well looked-after (with a side of laughter), we can’t wait to welcome you aboard.
