Welcome to 'Nesters' our antenatal drop-in group for people expecting a baby. This is a space to learn about birth, parenting, wellbeing, and relationships. You will also meet other local people and have lots of time to ask questions.
The group is facilitated by Em (antenatal educator and a full spectrum doula) and Becky (experienced in perinatal mental health) as well as being supported by friendly volunteers who are local mums trained to be perinatal peer supporters.
These antenatal drop-in groups are a safe space to help prepare for labour, birth, and parenting, whether this is your first child, or you already have children. Come as you are and find out what we’re all about.
Nesters runs fortnightly in-person at The Holy Trinity Centre.
We welcome everyone who is pregnant or supporting someone who is. We welcome and hold space for all people, especially those who identify as global majority, mixed heritage, black or brown, LGBTQIA, neurodiverse and all those from marginalised groups.
The Nest supports women and people who menstruate through their major transitions in life, including pregnancy and birth, by providing social, emotional, and informational support.
Essential ground rules
*Non-judgemental - people might have different views to you and that’s ok.
*Respect - ourselves, each other and the space.
*Confidential - what’s shared in the group stays in the group (except your own stories that you're free to do what you like with of course!).
