The Mental Wellbeing Drop In Cafe, delivered by North Dartmoor PCN, Community Links SW and West Devon CVS at Okehampton Medical Centre will provide access to support for people with mental health difficulties. We know that people struggle to access the help they need at the weekend. This leaves them feeling vulnerable and alone. There is also an additional burden on inappropriate services at the weekend, including the on-call GP and emergency services. At the beginning of the week people often reach out for support following a difficult weekend.

As a West Devon CVS volunteer in this role, you will help to address this gap in services and ensure local people feel supported. We will offer a combination of befriending, coaching, mentoring and appropriate signposting.

With safeguarding and mental health awareness training provided as well as ongoing support, you'll be part of a friendly and dedicated team, working alongside facilitators at the Drop In Cafe.
