Connecting with Nature
Staying active and connecting with nature on a regular basis is important for everyones's health and wellbeing.
The benefits of being outdoors are universal regardless of your age, ability or health condition. Even a short time in the fresh air is known to help improve sleep, reduce stress and make you feel more energised. Nature can generate many positive emotions, such as calmness, joy and creativity and can facilitate concentration. Nature connectedness is also associated with lower levels of poor mental health, particularly lower levels of depression and anxiety.
There are 100's of organistions across Devon offering activities to help people connect with nature. This could be anything from walks, dips, movement classes, photography and so much more.
